About the Role:
The Credentialing Associate (Contractor) will support Wheel’s clinician network by ensuring seamless and accurate payor enrollment, credentialing, and recredentialing processes. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, minimizing delays, and enabling clinicians to begin seeing patients as quickly as possible.

What You'll Do:

  • Process clinician credentialing and payor enrollment applications efficiently and accurately.

  • Maintain up-to-date provider records across internal and external systems (Wheel, Medallion, payors).

  • Track and monitor credentialing status, ensuring proactive follow-ups to prevent delays.

  • Identify and escalate any discrepancies or roadblocks in the credentialing process.

  • Communicate directly with clinicians to guide them through enrollment steps and collect required documentation.

  • Assist in auditing and reconciling payor effective dates to prevent compliance risks.

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of experience in credentialing, healthcare operations, or provider network management - at a high growth tech company a plus

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple credentialing timelines.

  • Experience working with credentialing platforms (Medallion preferred).

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
