We intentionally strive to build diverse teams that feel inclusive for all. Our motto is "All Stripes Welcome," and we put that into practice by valuing both traditional and non-conventional backgrounds and perspectives. Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, & working together to tackle exciting problems.
Our analytics team is expanding, & we’re seeking a Data Analyst to help support The Zebra’s growing needs. Reporting directly to the Senior Data Analytics Manager, you will work closely with data practitioners and business partners to build and maintain our core reporting infrastructure, understand the landscape of our data, and drive better decision-making.
Location:
While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still in the process of establishing our company to support work in all states! We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only, and a mix of the two. Please note - we will not be supporting work based out of the following states: CA, MA, NY, NJ.
What You'll Do:
Become an expert on our data from end to end (i.e. understanding the source of the data, how it is organized/transformed, and how it is interpreted in the context of our business)
Define metrics and create dashboards using SQL, Looker, and/or Hex that align with the team’s strategic direction and enable business stakeholders to self-serve their reporting needs.
Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Commercialization team, assisting with ad-hoc data questions, proactively updating on metric trends, and identifying new opportunities to use data to improve monetization.
Collaborate with other data practitioners to establish best practices and explore cross-departmental analytics opportunities to create a more robust view of the health of our business.
What We're Looking For:
As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.
1-3 years of professional (or comparable) analyst experience
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming raw data
Experience with BI platforms such as Looker, Tableau, Adobe, or Google Analytics
Strong analytical skills with a solid foundation in statistics and data visualization methods
Excellent communicator with a demonstrated ability to distill complex concepts for a general audience and contextualize your findings in business and product strategy
Experience that will Impress the Heck Out of Us:
Experience at a B2C technology company
Some exposure to data tools and technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Hex, BigQuery, etc.
Some experience or interest in Data Science modeling techniques (e.g. regression, classification, forecasting)
