Responsibilities:
· Ensure that all electrical components are safe working order and well maintained
· Plans the layout, installation, and repair wiring of electrical fixtures, motors, apparatus and control equipment
· Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuitry, control panels, fixtures, motors, and equipment in accordance with national Electrical Code specifications
· Performs systematic electrical and electronic troubleshooting
· Responsible for major repair, maintenance, and installation of all machinery in assigned area
· Assist in any number of maintenance activities including machine repair and installation of new equipment
· Orders parts and supplies and assists in assessment of new machinery and equipment needed
· Plans for new and modified installation consistent with specifications of electrical codes
· Receives information from plant manager about: work order requests, safety requirements, PLC programming needs, preventive maintenance instructions and manuals
· Inform the plant manager about: equipment problems, PLC program input/output, safety concerns, procurement of spare parts and tools
· Works with PLCS and to some extent can program the PLC under the direction of the plant manager
· Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed

Education and Experience:
· High School diploma / GED, required
· Completed associate’s degree/ bachelor’s degree/technical degree in manufacturing, engineering, electrical technology, or other related area or has completed requirements for certified/licensed Electrician and is in active good standing
· 2-10 years’ experience working on electrical components in an industrial setting and general machine maintenance experience
· Previous experience working with and to some extent programming PLCs, wiring electrical components and running conduit cabling
· Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, preferred
· Previous experience in maintenance in a plastics/textile manufacturer, preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
· This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping.
· Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
