What you’ll do ⚡
• Own and build core backend systems that power highly scalable messaging infrastructure.
• Design, ship, and maintain backend services that can handle billions of messages per month.
• Move quickly from idea to production while maintaining a high bar for quality, reliability, and performance.
• Work closely with a lean, highly technical team across engineering, product, and AI workflows.
• Solve hard infrastructure problems at scale across routing, messaging, delivery, automation, and customer-facing systems.
• Drive meaningful technical impact in a fast-growing, early-stage startup environment.

Requirements
• 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong career velocity and technical ownership in early-stage (pre-seed to Series A) startups.
• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building scalable production systems.
• Familiarity with AWS, especially SQS or similar queue-based infrastructure.
• Ability to build from 0→1 and operate in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Strong judgment around performance, reliability, and system design.
• Frontend experience is a bonus, but this is primarily a backend role.
• High ownership, low ego, and a bias toward shipping.
Compensation Range: $250K - $300K
