You are an experienced and passionate leader who enjoys scaling Engineering organizations, processes, and people. You are looking for an opportunity in a startup where you will have an outsized impact and are self-motivated to find creative solutions to any and all challenges that come your way. You enjoy working cross-functionally, mentoring and growing your teams, evangelizing best practices, and planning for the long term while managing the short term.

What You Will Do
- Quickly get up to speed with our product offerings and a high level understanding of our tech stack.
- Understand the historical context behind existing team practices and drive improvements where needed.
- Mature our existing agile processes in alignment with Product Management and your managers.
- Develop and maintain a growth plan for Engineering that incorporates requirements from your managers, the product roadmap, scale, and other business priorities.
- Mentor and develop managers reporting to you.
- Work with Compliance and Security teams to incorporate new requirements while minimizing impact to Engineering.
- Nurture a culture of transparency, pragmatism, and no ego, while scaling the Engineering organization.
Your Skills and Experience
- At least 3 years of prior experience as a Director of Engineering
- Experience with most of the technologies mentioned in our stack above
- Demonstrated ability to hire well, leverage your network, and align your org chart with business priorities
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement across your teams and across the Product Management organization
- Demonstrated ability to manage large scale projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage and scale Engineering organizations
