SpyCloud is currently searching for a short-term contract role to support manual analysis and updates to a security dataset. This role will report to Product Management. The ideal candidate possesses an initial understanding of security concepts, including a high-level understanding of existence of underground criminal markets. This remote contract role will offer 20-40 hours per week for three months in support of the manual review and updating of security datasets.

We are looking for a part-time or full-time contractor that will apply a high-level understanding of security concepts and a detail-oriented approach to a strong work-ethic. In this role, you will support the delivery of important security content to market and have the opportunity to work closely with industry leading product and security research teams.

What You'll Do

• Manually analyze security datasets, perform associated research, and make necessary updates.

• Work with internal product leaders and the research team to understand data elements and models

Requirements

• Ability to quickly analyze and understand spreadsheets
• High-level understanding of the existing of the criminal underground (darknet)
• Familiarity with the concepts of data breaches and malware
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly self-directed, empathetic, curious, and flexible

Nice to Have

• Experience working with large datasets to identify and develop new methodologies in the detection of cyberthreats
• Familiarity with Python
