About the role
We’re looking for a pragmatic, product-minded Software Engineer to join our Technology team and help design, build, and scale the core services that power our platform.
This role is ideal for an experienced JavaScript engineer who understands how modern web applications actually work end-to-end, from APIs and databases to frontend experiences. You’ll contribute across the stack, partnering closely with product and operations to ship reliable, maintainable systems that directly impact the business.
You won’t just write code, you’ll help shape architecture, improve performance, and bring thoughtful engineering practices to a growing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and JavaScript
- Design and implement RESTful APIs that are scalable, secure, and well-structured
- Model data and manage database operations using PostgreSQL and Sequelize (or similar ORM)
- Write and maintain migrations, scripts, and ad-hoc data operations
- Contribute to frontend features using React, HTML, and CSS
- Develop automated tests using Jest to ensure stability and reliability
- Collaborate on architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical standards
- Improve system performance, reliability, and developer experience
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, and operations to ship high-impact features
