As ManagerFinance, you will oversee the taxation and other regulatory compliances of our India office and collaborating closely with the Finance and Accounting teams at Ontic Corporate. Your primary responsibilities will include Income-tax and Companies Act compliance along with the smooth closure of annual audits, review of accounting books, preparation of monthly closures and providing support to the team in day-to-day activities. You will play a pivotal role in the implementation of internal controls over financial reporting, driving efficiency and supporting business growth. This role will be based in the Ontic India office in Noida.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate compliance with statutory tax requirements including Provident Fund (PF), Employees' State Insurance (ESI), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), Goods and Services Tax (GST) – including payment of tax liabilities and filing of returns

  • Tax Accounting & Reporting: Compute monthly/quarterly tax accounting entries including tax provisions and deferred taxes and support in tax-related reporting for Management Information System (MIS)

  • Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate and support statutory audit, tax audit, and transfer pricing audit processes and handling compliance with Statement of Financial Transactions (SFT)

  • Bookkeeping Oversight: Supervise and review day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger management and ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records

  • MIS Support and Enhancement: Assist in the preparation of monthly MIS reports and contribute to improving MIS processes and formats for better financial analysis and decision-making

  • Coordinate with external consultants to ensure end-to-end compliances

  • Companies Act Compliance: Handle filings and compliance documentation

  • Other Responsibilities:

    • Provide support in various ad hoc tasks and compliance requirements as assigned

    • Assist in implementing process improvements and internal control systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) mandatory.

  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant finance experience (of accounting, taxation or FP&A experience, including full financial statement reporting and audit coordination), ideally within SaaS or technology-driven companies.

  • Advanced data manipulation skills in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to report on and analyze the financial statements.

  • Experience with accounting software (Tally (preferrable), SAP)

  • Experience with a US based multi-national and strong understanding of accounting consolidations. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and local accounting standards.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with international teams.
