Compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, specialized skills, budgetary considerations, labor market conditions and demand, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role can participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.

We are in an aggressive global scaling phase and are seeking a VP of Marketing who has built and operated enterprise ABM engines and high-performance channel programs in high-stakes environments and is ready to do it again with a category leader seeking to expand its market.

The Role

The VP of Marketing will be a core member of the executive team, owning the full vision, strategy, and execution of global marketing. We are looking for a leader who has operated at the intersection of enterprise ABM, AI-augmented marketing operations, and high-performance channel programs. Over the past decade we have become the name brand in a rapidly expanding category. We are seeking a leader who can further entrench our brand identity in the eyes of our buyers, translating market insight into pipeline with the precision of a Gong-style revenue engine and the partner leverage of a Rippling ecosystem play.

The ideal candidate is a true player-coach: executive-level in horizon strategy and customer narrative, but hands-on enough to architect the MarTech stack, own attribution models, and write the briefs that drive campaigns. You will build a lean, high-output team of internal specialists and curated vendors, designed for velocity rather than headcount.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Category Design

  • Define and execute a comprehensive marketing roadmap aligned to the company’s enterprise scaling and ARR growth targets.

  • Own Fama’s evolution into the category-essential solution for behavioral risk intelligence in hiring. Position social media screening not as optional, but as a compliance imperative on par with background checks.

  • Serve as the primary market evangelist, building brand authority with C-suite HR personas (CHRO, CPO, Head of TA) and Executive Search (CIO, COO, MD) through thought leadership, research-backed content, and executive-level engagement.

  • Partner with the CEO, VP of Revenue and broader stakeholder group to translate market positioning into narratives that win competitive evaluations and accelerate enterprise deal cycles.

High-Velocity Enterprise ABM & Demand Generation

  • Build and operate a high-velocity, account-based marketing engine targeting enterprise and upper mid-market organizations in a range of regulated industries. Precision targeting and pipeline influence programs should be core to your professional DNA, paired with a genuine curiosity for the art of the possible.

  • Own full-funnel demand generation strategy with clear accountability for educating prospects, pipeline contribution, and influenced revenue tracked against attribution models, not vanity metrics.

  • Design and execute multi-touch, multi-channel ABM plays that combine intent data, personalized outbound sequences, agentic engagement, and targeted paid media to move target accounts through the funnel at scale.

  • Manage a complex paid ecosystem (LinkedIn, Google, programmatic, review platforms) on top of a market-leading CDP, with a clear-eyed understanding of the customer problem and Fama’s USP.

Channel & Partnership Marketing: The Growth Multiplier

  • Architect and lead a robust channel partner program targeting highly regulated, high-stakes verticals as well as the broader HR Tech ecosystem (ATS, HRIS, and background screening partners).

  • Build “Marketing-through-Partners” motions that generate high-quality referral pipeline, co-branded demand generation, and ecosystem authority. Some of our favorite partner-led growth models are those built by Rippling, Leapsome, and Deel in adjacent HR Tech categories.

  • Evolve Fama’s high-impact partner enablement playbooks, co-marketing kits, and incentive structures that make Fama straightforward to refer and sell.

  • Collaborate with our VP of Revenue to cultivate strategic alliances that expand market reach, accelerate credibility in new verticals, and create durable competitive moats.

AI-Forward Operations & Content Engine

  • Lead a modern, agentic AI-augmented marketing function leveraging tools across generative AI, workflow automation, and intelligent content production to operate at enterprise scale without enterprise headcount.

  • Build and manage a high-output content engine spanning long-form research, in-person events, video, webinars, and digital media.

  • Own the company’s digital presence, including the website (CMS), SEO strategy, conversion rate optimization, and gated content programs.

Revenue Attribution & Growth Analytics

  • Collaborate with our brilliant RevOps leader to connect marketing spend directly to pipeline and closed-won revenue through multi-touch attribution modeling.

  • Build and maintain real-time executive dashboards that offer you command and control of ROI, cohort performance, CAC payback, and channel efficiency. Be ready to dig in with leadership across the inevitable peaks and valleys of B2B marketing.

  • Translate attribution data into resource allocation recommendations and quarterly investment decisions. Be prepared to make the case for budget with data, not gut.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role within a B2B SaaS company. GRC and HCM technology experience is required.

  • Demonstrated success building enterprise ABM engines from the ground up, with measurable pipeline influence and revenue attribution. Anyone can launch a program; we want to see your journey.

  • Proven track record building or scaling channel and partner marketing programs, with partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline as a primary KPI.

  • Deep expertise in evolving digital presence beyond traditional SEO to include AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).

  • Deep fluency in AI-augmented marketing operations; you have already integrated Generative and Agentic AI tools into your team’s daily workflow and can speak concretely to the productivity outcomes.

  • Command of modern MarTech ecosystems: Hubspot, intent data platforms (6sense, Demandbase), revenue attribution tools (Dreamdata), and marketing automation at scale.

  • Experience operating in or readiness to lead international market entry, including navigating localized regulatory environments.

Core Competencies

  • Revenue-Oriented: You measure marketing success in pipeline and closed revenue, not impressions or brand sentiment alone.

  • Precision with Data: Able to build attribution models, read cohort analyses, and translate data into investment decisions without a BI team doing the work for you.

  • Velocity at Scale: You know how to build for speed. We’re talking lean teams, automated workflows, and high-output content engines that do not require 20 people to sustain.

  • Cross-Functional Fluency: A natural partner to Revenue, Product, and the CEO. We are seeking someone who translates marketing strategy into language that drives organizational alignment.

  • Execution Mentality: You have shipped enterprise campaigns, partner launches, and product narratives.

  • Remote first - Flexible work environment.

  • Our flexible workplace comes with vacation days, sick days, volunteer time off, and paid parental leave.

  • Great Financial Incentives. competitive compensation packages, equity, and generous total rewards plans.

  • Employees can access Wellness Programs and more for FREE.

We believe that becoming an increasingly diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace makes us a more successful and resilient organization.
