Online Mental Health Counselor (LCSW or LMHC) - Independent Contractor

Helping serve the underserved....we provide support to educators and school based professionals and their families

HelloHero has delivered online therapy and special education services since 2018. As an online therapist, you will have the opportunity to provide group and individual therapy sessions through our secure and user-friendly virtual platform. We offer flexible working hours, allowing you to set your availability within the designated time slots. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in supplementing their income, building their own practice, or looking for steady part-time work.

This is a part-time, independent contractor position.

Must hold an active New York State License as a LCSW or LMHC without any restrictions or clinical supervision needed.

Since our referral network is working full time during the day, most sessions are completed in the last afternoon, evenings, and weekend. Ideally, our Counselors are available 3:30pm-9:30pm ET and open to weekends.

Sessions will typically be 45 minutes and scheduled for 60 minutes to allow for documentation time and breaks between sessions.

What You Will Do:

• Provide therapy sessions by video
• Utilize evidence-based techniques to support clients in achieving their mental health goals.
• Assess clients for suitability for short-term counseling
• Collaborative in developing clear and concise treatment plans for clients
• Provide clear and timely clinical documentation in our platform
• Assessing and managing high-risk calls and working closely with individuals at risk.
• Initiate counseling and outpatient referrals

What You Will Have:

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling, or related field
• Active LCSW or LMHC license in New York
• 2+ years of experience in a mental health setting
• Computer proficiency, solid typing skills
• Background working with various age groups
• Crisis management experience
• Reliable equipment, wi-fi/internet access, and a distraction free work environment
• NPI Number
• CAQH
