QA Engineer 3
Bruno
About Bruno:
Bruno is an open-source API client that’s Git-native, local-first, and built for developers. Think Postman, reimagined for the modern dev stack. We're growing fast and looking for a QA Lead to help us build a rock-solid, reliable experience across our app, CLI, and integrations.
Background:
With a product that is touching 400,000 monthly users, tens of thousands of new users each month, and thousands of customers - quality isn’t something we can compromise on.
What you’ll do:
Own the entire QA strategy across our product surface: desktop app, CLI, and API workflows
Build and lead test automation pipelines (E2E, regression, unit tests).
Define testing processes, quality benchmarks, and release standards
Work closely with Engineering and Product to catch bugs early and often.
Champion product reliability—edge cases, cross-platform issues, and real-world developer use cases
Grow the QA culture across the team: documentation, tooling, and test coverage
About you:
3–5 years of QA or software testing experience, including leading QA efforts
Experience testing developer-facing products, APIs, or CLI tools - ideally something that’s been used by 100’s of thousands of users.
Strong automation skills (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks)
Comfortable writing and reviewing test cases, maintaining CI pipelines, and working async
Excellent attention to detail and a deep appreciation for clean, reliable user experiences.
Clear written and verbal communication
Bonus:
Experience in open-source environments or contributions to OSS
Familiarity with Electron apps, Node.js, and Git-based workflows
You've tested or helped build tools like API Clients, or other dev-focused apps
Comfortable working in a startup or fast-paced product org

Help define our quality culture from the ground up
We’re small, async, and ship fast
Opportunity to be part of something that is reshaping a massive segment of developer tooling and experience..
