Product Designer
Bruno
Bruno is an open-source, Git-friendly alternative to tools like Postman—built for developers who value local-first workflows and simplicity. We’re growing fast and need someone who can help shape the future of developer experience.
Background:
Bruno is rapidly growing in usage and adoption, and we’re looking for an inaugural Product Designer to ensure we continue to deliver the best product possible.
With a product that is touching 400,000 monthly users and thousands of customers, it’s important that we’re delivering valuable new features in demand by these stakeholders and also continuing to innovate based on the market.
What you’ll do:
Own the end-to-end design process—from wireframes and user flows to final UI
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and the community to improve usability and overall UX
Design new features with a dev-centric mindset
Maintain and evolve our design system with simplicity and consistency
Talk directly with users (mostly devs!) and turn feedback into actionable design improvements
Advocate for great UX in the context of open-source and technical products
About you:
2–5 years of product or UX design experience, ideally with developer tools or technical products
Strong portfolio of clean, intuitive UI work—bonus if it includes apps for developers
Proficiency with tools like Figma, plus a solid understanding of responsive layout and accessibility
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, async environment
Curious, self-directed, and thoughtful about trade-offs between UX and engineering complexity
Bonus:
Experience designing for desktop apps (especially Electron-based) or CLI tooling
Familiarity with developer workflows—APIs, Git, testing tools, etc.
You’ve worked on or contributed to open-source projects
Why Bruno?

Own core user experience in a high-impact, high-autonomy role
Work closely with a small, talented team shipping fast
Opportunity to be part of something that is reshaping a massive segment of developer tooling and experience..
