LX Content Manager

ABOUT THIS POSITION
As a Content Manager, you’ll be part of our Learning Experience team, building and maintaining course curriculum and learning experiences that empower our students to achieve their next life goal. Your primary focus will be on Aceable’s Insurance and Real Estate course catalogs, but you will ultimately support content across all verticals as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Research, architect, and write original educational course content that meets and exceeds regulatory requirements, instructional design standards, and writing style guidelines
- Review and improve existing courses, prioritizing regulatory changes while maintaining the student experience and ensuring quality across the course catalog
- Collaborate with designers on content creation including, but not limited to, infographics, scenario illustrations, videos/animations and study guides
- Use and help maintain the Aceable brand voice, tone, and style guidelines
- Learn and work with Aceable’s proprietary course management tools to author curriculum
- Look for and identify opportunities to create great work efficiently and effectively, with an eye toward scalability over time
- Instruct online/webinar course sessions as needed
- Work cross-functionally to support content creation for Aceable.com, writing articles and/or landing page copy that is aligned with our course expertise
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 5+ years of writing and/or content management experience in a consumer and/or student-facing industry
- Portfolio website or small collection of recent and relevant work
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clear, informational copy that educates and delights students
- Dexterity to balance cross-functional demands; our content often must meet regulatory requirements, instructional design principles, and/or strategic company goals
- Creativity to propose a variety of solutions to given problems and communicate their value, keeping in mind the level of effort, timelines, budget, and capacity of team members
- Highly collaborative mindset combined with the ability to work independently on long-term writing projects
- Empathy and advocacy for our students and team members
- Reside in one of the following locations: California, Colorado, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York (excluding Boroughs), North Carolina, Texas, Utah, and Washington.

- Certification in instructional design or adult learning theory
- Domain expertise in Insurance and/or Real Estate education

ABOUT THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE TEAM
The Aceable Learning Experience Team is a lively crew of writers, graphic designers, and video producers with a shared mission: We make required licensing education approachable and engaging and care obsessively about our results. In close collaboration with the Product Team, we strive to create effective, user-centric online courses. We learn fast, pivot quickly, and create products to drive the best outcomes for the largest number of students.
